Just a stone’s throw from the Imperial Forum and the Colosseum at 302 Via Cavour entering the Bici Baci store , going down a few steps, one suddenly finds oneself in the past, in front of legendary Vespa models, known to the general public also thanks to the films that starred them, first of all ‘Vacanze Romane,’ which just in 2013 celebrated its 60th anniversary.

The permanent exhibition of original specimens that have made the history of 2-wheelers around the world has the spirit of preservation and enhancement of the Italian motoring historical-cultural heritage and witnessing the evolution of social life over time.

Admission to the Vespa Museum Space is free.

The creators

The idea was born from the passion of three friends accumulated since their youth by the myth of the Vespa.

It is the story of three friends at the bar with a wonderful idea in their heads: to create a space to be dedicated to Vespa that aims to tell the story of the relationship between Vespa and Rome also exalted through Cinematography with films such as “Vacanze Romane,” “Poveri ma Belli” and “Caro Diario.”

This is how Spazio Museo Vespa was inaugurated on Friday, July 12, 2013, in the presence of local dignitaries, a number of ambassadors and many personalities from the world of entertainment.

In its more than 10 years of existence, many events dedicated to the myth of the Vespa have been organized, and the free admission space has been visited by more than 30,000 fans and tourists in recent years.

Curious and full of enthusiasm, Claudio is unstoppable, a volcano of ideas!

Roberto Leardi

Roberto Leardi is the president of Vespa Club Italia.
A huge Vespa enthusiast and author of many books dedicated to the Vespa, including ‘Vespa. History of a Legend,’ ‘Historic Vespa Register,’ ‘Italian and Foreign Vintage Scooters,’ Roberto is always available to promote the Vespa brand and the spirit of Vespa riders.
He has granted the Vespa Museum Space the use of some vehicles from his private collection.
